BIG BEAT was a classic 1960’s music magazine. It had a tiny circulation and as a result, copies are extremely difficult to find. This is issue Number 11 from October 1964. This is an ultra rare ADVANCE COPY stamped lightly on the cover, for press use in advance of publication. The Beatles are on the cover on a boat boarding gantry in suits with their classic mop tops. They are featured inside with rare photographs and a full page colour center spread with john, Ringo and Paul on a sofa. 5 pages of Beatles inside! Sally Ann Shaw is featured after her split with George Harrison. 1 page feature on Dusty Springfield. A young Rolling Stones are featured in a great 2 page behind the scenes shoot including Brian Jones who is interviewed. There is also a full page colour Stones poster. Also featured inside, all with photographs. A fantastic Timex watch advert for The Cavern! The Liverpool home of The Beatles. The back cover is a colour poster of The Pretty Things, and there’s one page on the band inside also. 40 pages stuffed with classic 1960s bands. 25 x 34 cm oversized magazine between A4 & A3. Excellent condition with very light wear visible. 50+ years old it has some wear but is intact and very good for its age on this lightweight paper.
