ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE – the rare first British edition from June 14th, 1969. The US edition of this date has Chuck Berry on the cover. Pete Townsend of The Who. This issue dated 14/7/69 also features Roy Harper, Peter Green, Chuck Berry.. This first British issue is even scarcer as it comes with the free Tommy poster by The Who still intact and unused! Also in this debut UK issue. Tragedy on BERKELEY campus in America. BOB DYLAN and JOHNNY CASH. GRATEFUL DEAD full page advert. HUMBLE PIE full page ad. Excellent condition with one printing error mark to the cover. Perfect inside (see photos). These Rolling Stones are printed on light newspaper and can be fragile. An original contract on Eric Easton Ltd letterhead paper between The Rolling Stones and Elkie Brooks dated the 29th June 1965. Elkie supported the Rolling Stones during two performances on the 16th and 17th July 1965, the schedule of the concerts is printed on the reverse. The contract has been signed by someone on behalf of Elkie. It measures 20.2cm x 25.3cm (8 inches x 1o inches). The contract has previously been folded leaving horizontal crease lines. Two holes have been punched along the left edge with tape stains to the top edge on the reverse. There is a small section missing to the top left corner. The condition is very good. The first item is charged at the normal rate. Our Grading System Explained. Mint = As new. Near Mint = Almost like new with one or two very minor flaws. Excellent = Minor wear yet looks attractive and is perfectly usable. Very Good = Some wear and tear but overall presentable and usable. Good = Apparent wear and tear but with obvious deterioration of the condition. Poor = Extremely worn. A plus or minus after the grading indicates that the condition is marginally higher or lower than the stated grade.
