Since the vinyl was pressed in the UK, they are UK matrix numbers and are as follows. Side One XARL 6291-3A. Side Two XARL 6292-3A. Very rare original 1964 US mono white label promotional LP on the boxed London ffrr label with’Made In England’ credit. The first US issues of the first four Stones albums were all manufactured in the UK and exported to the US. This superb collectible comes complete with promo stickered picture sleeve. This is a white label promo copy of the debut album of the Greatest Rock And Roll Band In The World! The labels are white with black print. The perimeter print along the top of the label states’Made In England’. Below this the statement NOT FOR SALE in bold black letters. The London logo is boxed and alongside it is the ffrr and ear logo. The catalogue number LL. 3375DJ is in line with the centrehole (to the right). There is no writing or blemishes on either side of the label. Visually the vinyl on exhibits several light marks on both sides. When played it was surprisingly free from jumps or skips. The quieter passages and track breaks had some light background noise and crackle but nothing to spoil the overall sound of the album. The pasted picture sleeve is in great condition. The front shows none of the ringwear so common in sixties US sleeves. It is stickered in white with black text’Promotion Copy Not For Sale’. The edges are free from splits and the spine print is legible. There is some pen writing visible in the white lettering to the front of the sleeve. The rear of the sleeve has some writing in blue pen (property of RMAC)The writing is also dated 06/1964. Included is the original White inner sleeve plus the very rare full colour bonus photo / poster of the dark and moody David Bailey band image.
